Oscars 2010: Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart to introduce films during telecast

We've known for a little while now that the 2010 Oscars would be getting a dose of "Twilight" -- however, we weren't entirely sure to what extent. According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be taking on the roles of presenters during the ABC telecast, though it won't be for a particular award. The two will instead present a package of the year's horror films.

The fact that the Oscars are giving any attention to horror is a shocker in itself -- much of the genre is typically looked upon unfavorably by Academy voters, similarly to how they typically handle other "niche" movies like romantic comedies and non-"Avatar" science fiction. While it isn't a golden statuette, at least a video package is some form of recognition for the genre.

The only real mystery left is if Taylor and Kristen will find a way to promote the new movie in "The Twilight Saga," "Eclipse," while they simultaneously introduce other movies. The popular film franchise will eventually find its basic-cable home on FX.

Do you plan on watching the Oscars because of Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner? Feel free to share your thoughts below.
